Despite all of the zeal and passion of the Jewish leadership, they could not receive God�s messiah� even when he arrived at the temple riding on a donkey, teaching and preaching with all of God�s authority. Jesus clearly declared himself Messiah� but the kind of messiah that was a suffering servant, humbly arriving in Jerusalem; ready to be rejected, to suffer and die before rising again� just as he foretold.
